Rongjun Dou’s paintings always depict various status of people. His recent works, Speciman, discussed not only the circumstances of individual’s current living, but indicated the possibilities of human nature in the future. The energy transits and dissolves between one person and another; everybody knows about himself and also realizes the restraints of his knowledge; living in a society that has rapidly developed technology , a person can never experience absolute freedom, but inevitably becomes a living breathing speciman,or plays an ignored role by force or voluntarily. The tension created in Dou’s painting, seems to be the scream come from the heart of the artist; which is also the evidence of a struggling heart, interpreted by his fluent artistic languages.
