Han Garidi (Mongolian) is from the Horqin grassland. After graduating from the Fine Arts Department of Chifeng College in 1990, he entered the Printmaking Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. The systematic and rigorous training has given his works the rigor and technical maturity of the academic school. The mountains and rivers of the Inner Mongolian grasslands have given his works a magnificent demeanor. Like the artists of the Barbizon School in France in the 19th century, Han Garidi has a deep affection for the land and the people. The grassland, distant mountains, pastures, fields, lakes, herdsmen, cattle and sheep, horses, wind, frost, rain and snow, and the scenery of the four seasons are all the objects he tirelessly depicts.
Facing Han Garidi's works, people can easily think of the scenery chanted in "Chi Le Song" - "The sky is vast, the wilderness is vast, the wind blows the grass low and the cattle and sheep are seen". Such a magnificent scenery is far away from the glitz of the city and is closer to nature and the heart. Han Garidi is like a visual poet. In the fast-paced modern society, he has composed a clear pastoral song for us with a stable, simple and solid artistic style, providing an oasis for the soul to settle.
